06 How can climate change threatens our survival?
The carbon - mainly coal - is wrecking the climate and that means civilization as we know it has to change very much and very fast or suffer the consequences which are horrific.What follows here is very hard to believe but the scientific evidence is very clear as you can find out reading the other posts on this website.
In short summary - The carbon we emit by burning coal, oil, gas, wood and indirectly by using electricity made from this plus some other sources is piling up in the upper atmosphere.
This is making the whole planet hotter which is destabilizing the climate round the world and many people are suffering.
If we do nothing these serious changes in climate will soon impact on everyone - there is no safe haven.
We are close to a point at which the climate change will continue even if we could stop all carbon emissions.
What is at risk is civilization as we know it.
